Women rate men with larger penises more attractive..sooo.. Put down the rulers, guys — whether your penis is the "right" size depends on the proportions of the rest of your body, a new study finds

The study suggests that women's preferences for bigger penises could explain why human males have relatively big genitals for their body size.

Researchers  found that a larger penis had a greater effect on attractiveness for taller men. It's possible that a larger penis just looked more proportional on a taller man's body, the researchers wrote, or it could be that women were biased against shorter men to the extent that even large genitals didn't help.

 The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation is offering up $100,000 of initial funding for the designer of the "next generation of condoms," just one of the topics for Round 11 of its Grand Challenges Exploration initiative.

The primary drawback from the male perspective is that condoms decrease pleasure as compared to no condom, creating a trade-off that many men find unacceptable, particularly given that the decisions about use must be made just prior to intercourse.

 A majority of Americans views the Republican party as out of touch, too extreme and resistant to change, according to a Pew poll released Tuesday.

Sixty-two percent of adults said that Republicans were out of touch with the American people, and 52 percent that the party was too extreme. In comparison, 46 percent said that Democrats were out of touch, and 39 percent that they were too extreme.

Democrats were also viewed as slightly more likely to be looking out for the country's future -- and, by a 19-point margin, as the party more open to change.
