Here's first glimpse of Phil Spector, a new HBO film about the sensational murder trials written and directed by David Mamet, the question of the record producer's guilt in the firearm death of Clarkson, a B-movie actress working as a House of Blues hostess, is a ball that gets tossed repeatedly into the air.

Starring as Spector is Al Pacino, who sinks his incisors into the meaty role of the eccentric architect of the legendary "Wall of Sound," playing him like a wild-eyed, cornered raccoon. Hellen Mirren plays his attorney 

 

Bette Midler Returning to Broadway as Super Agent Sue Mengers

Bette Midler will return to Broadway for the first time in 30 years to play legendary agent Sue Mengers. 

The Divine Miss M. will star  in John Logan’s new play "I’ll Eat You Last: A Chat With Sue Mengers." 

The chain-smoking, unapologetically brash Mengers was an icon among the New Hollywood set. In a male-dominated time, she became the first female “superagent," representing the likes of Nick Nolte, Burt Reynolds, Candice Bergen, Ryan O'Neal, Steve McQueen and Barbra Streisand.  She rose up the Hollywood despite modest beginnings as a refugee from Hitler's Germany. In addition to her work achievements, her dinner parties were legendary and a ticket to a Mengers' gathering was considered a sign that a new talent had arrived.

A television news program unwittingly had a hardcore porn film playing in the background during its live broadcast in Sweden.

The anchor was halfway through the broadcast on Sweden’s main commercial television channel TV4 earlier today, when an adult movie began playing behind her.

Viewers were shocked to see the hardcore porn clip on one of the monitors during a segment about the political climate in war-torn Syria.

The adult film was playing for ten minutes before management was alerted and it was turned off.

‘I thought I was mistaken, but it soon became pretty clear when I saw how they moved’, one viewer told Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet.
