Florida Woman set fire to 3,500-yr.-old cypress tree while trying to use drugs

Yep.. .she accidentally climbed over a tall fence of a protected tree in a park..  she accidentally climbed inside it... then she accidentally lit a fire in the midst of a drought.with her CRACK PIPE!

LONGWOOD, Fla. - Authorities say a Florida woman is in jail after she allegedly set fire to one of the world's oldest cypress trees while trying to use illegal drugs.

 

According to CBS affiliate WKMG, Sara  Barnes,26, told authorities that she and a friend were inside the hollow tree on the early morning of Jan. 16 and lit a fire so they could see better.

 Investigators say two witnesses identified Barnes as the person who caused a 118-foot-tall bald cypress tree named "The Senator" to burn and collapse. According to the Orlando Sentinel, Barnes reportedly took photos of the fire with her cellphone.

The Seminole County parks department says ring samples showed the tree, located in Big Tree Park in Longwood, was roughly 3,500 years old.

SC Man arrested inside of a Walmart for exposing himself, In Horry county (sounds like whore-y) and the street was Beaver.. Ohh the Irony..

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) A Pawleys Island man remains behind bars after allegedly exposing himself inside a local Walmart Friday, but it’s not his first brush with the law on sex related charges.

In a police report obtained by WMBF News, officers with the Horry County Police Department responded to the Walmart located at 2751 Beaver Run Blvd. in the Surfside Beach area just before 5 p.m. Friday in reference to an indecent exposure.

Officers met with two Walmart employees who told police they saw Christopher Robert Saia, 21, expose himself inside the store in the clothing area. The employees said a woman was in the area Saia was exposing himself, however, she did not see anything.

Once Saia saw the employees, he reportedly covered himself back up. Saia was arrested and charged with indecent exposure.

But it’s not his first arrest on a sex related crime. In July, Saia was arrested and charged with prostitution after officers with the Myrtle Beach Police Department reportedly witnessed him engaging in a sex act with a woman on a picnic table.

Saia reportedly told officers the woman offered to perform the sex act in exchange for a cigarette.
