Tom Hanks and Peter Scolari are getting back together for a "Bosom
Buddies" reunion set to air as part of the 8th annual TV Land Awards
later this month.
Both actors are scheduled to appear on the
April 25 telecast, though it's unclear if either will don the drag
costumes they wore on the original 1980 sitcom. Hanks and Scolari played
aspiring ad agency execs who dressed as women in order to land a spot
in an all-women's apartment.
Also set for the reunion: "Bosom" cast members Holland Taylor, Telma Hopkins and Donna Dixon. TV Land says it's the first time the cast has appeared together in public since the show left the air in 1982.
Another cast member, Wendie Jo Sperber, passed away in 2005.
While "Bosom" lasted only two seasons, it's lived on as a cult classic in no small part because it featured a before-he-was-famous turn by Hanks. It also ushered in the era of Miller-Boyett -created 1980s comedies on ABC (the producers were previously involved in Garry Marshall megahits such as "Happy Days" and "Laverne & Shirley").
The TV Land Awards will tape April 17 on the Sony lot.
